Women in Bloom: Morning Walks

There is something powerful about women walking alongside one another.

Women in Bloom is a free Monday morning walk for women in every season of life , created for women in Canal Winchester, Groveport, Lancaster, Pickerington, Fairfield County, and the surrounding communities. All women are welcome.

These are not forest therapy walks. They are informal, community-centered walks for women of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and seasons of life.

We created Women in Bloom as a simple invitation to get outside, move our bodies, and make room for connection—with one another and with the natural world. No fitness goals. No need to know anyone. No pressure to be anything other than who you are that morning.

Maybe you're looking for a little more movement in your week. Maybe you're craving community. Maybe you'd like to meet other women in the area. Or maybe you're simply ready to spend a little time outside with good company.

We also believe there is something powerful about women of different ages and seasons of life walking alongside one another. Sometimes connection becomes friendship. Sometimes it becomes encouragement, perspective, or mentorship. We don't have to be in the same place in life to have something to offer one another.

Come curious. Come open. Come as you are.

We'll walk at a comfortable, conversational pace, with all levels welcome. Some weeks we may wander a little farther; other weeks we may simply enjoy being outside together. The natural world is part of the experience—not as something we need to accomplish, but as a place to pause, notice, and reconnect.

The kind of community we're creating

We want Women in Bloom to feel welcoming, positive, and easy to step into even if you're arriving alone.

That means we show up with curiosity rather than judgment, kindness rather than criticism, and respect for different experiences and perspectives. We leave gossip, negativity, and pressure at the door. You don't have to talk, share, or participate beyond what feels comfortable.

This is a place to walk alongside one another, not a place where anyone has to perform, keep up, or fit in.

The walks are free and take place every Monday morning, with locations varying throughout the surrounding communities . Upcoming dates and meeting locations are listed below.

Schedule:

November 2 - Walnut Woods, 6716 Lithopolis Rd, Groveport, OH 43125. That's the Buckeye Trail. We'll meet under the trees by the playground. this is an easy path with many exits. Canal Wincester Elementary doesn't have school this day and children are more than welcome to join. Come dressed for the weather.

November 9 - Sycamore Creek Park, 500 Hereford Drive, Pickerington, OH 43147 . This is the park address. The park has multiple entrances, so use the main park listing and look for parking near the pond. Trail - Pond, covered bridge, arboretum; easy pond loop.

November 16 - Pickerington Ponds, Burning Lake 4432 Gender Road, Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Trail - Paved trail through woodland and wetlands

November 23 - McGill Park, 6725 Lithopolis-Winchester Road, Canal Winchester, OH 43110 . This is the park address. Meet at the main parking area by the playground and paved paths. Trail - Walking trails and nature-themed playground

November 30 - Slate Run, Bobolink Trail, 11140 Winchester Road, Ashville, OH 43103. Length: Approximately 1.5 miles one way, or 3 miles round trip. We can confirm the route and turn-around point before setting out. Trail surface: Grass, which may be wet or muddy depending on recent weather. Please wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the conditions.

Planning to join us? An RSVP is appreciated, but not required. It gives us a way to send you a reminder and reach you if there is a last-minute change to the walk, such as weather or location. You are always welcome to simply show up.

Women in Bloom is part of the growing community at Buds in Bloom, a space for women to connect, explore, create, and grow together through seasonal gatherings and experiences.
