- ➤ AHA! Children's Museum will host the second annual New Year's Eve at Noon event on Dec. 31 with music, crafts & a mini ball drop and a candy raffle for a chance to win movie passes. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon at 1708 River Valley Circle South. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

- ➤ Central Ohio school districts that cancel classes for snow must meet set instructional hours. Schools adding extra hours can avoid makeup days, while those at the minimum must plan makeup sessions (such as virtual lessons) following state law. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

- ➤ New data from Zumper shows Lancaster apartment rents have held close to last November’s median of $1,100 as of Dec. 17, with one-bedroom rates dropping 10% from last year and two-bedrooms steady near $1,200. Rental prices remain about 15% below state averages. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
