BUSINESS NEWS

  • On Capitol Hill, the House Rules Committee advanced a Senate spending bill that includes a hemp provision that lowers acceptable THC levels—if passed it will ban hemp-infused products and force Ohio businesses to adjust their inventory. Local owners say the change will devastate the hemp industry as state regulations remain in flux.  ABC6

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a strong geomagnetic storm watch for today—Ohio residents may see the northern lights tonight if they go to a dark spot between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Solar activity from recent coronal mass ejections may push the aurora farther south than its display on Nov. 11.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Mid-State League awarded season-ending honors for boys and girls soccer as Bloom-Carroll won the Buckeye girls' title with a perfect 6-0-0 record and Hamilton Township earned the Buckeye boys' title, with Kaylee Morris named Player of the Year and Mark Casperson as Coach of the Year - additional accolades were given in the Cardinal division.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
