- ➤ Retailers in Ohio began early Black Friday deals with Ace Hardware launching on November 1 and other chains planning major promotions on November 28 — deals from Walmart, Home Depot, and Target will extend into early December for holiday shopping. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association released the All-Central District high school football teams that honored several area players. Fairfield Christian Academy receiver T.J Blair was named Division VII offensive Player of the Year and Fisher Catholic coach Luke Thimmes was named Division VII Coach of the Year while Lancaster junior Jameir Gordan earned first team honors in Division I. - ➤ Local student athletes earned awards in volleyball, golf and tennis when the Mid-State League ended fall sports. Bloom-Carroll, Fisher Catholic and other local schools received honors for player and coach of the year and made first and second-team selections (showing strong local talent).
