- ➤ Ohio regular gas prices dropped last week to $2.92 per gallon on Monday from $3.01 the week before — making them about 3.7% lower than the national average. The state's price was 7 cents higher than last month's rate and ranged from $2.72 to $3.41 over the past year. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

- ➤ Bloom-Carroll's volleyball team won a tough match in five sets over Shawnee at Hilliard Darby High School on Oct. 30—despite a 20 minute delay from a fire alarm and an injury to senior Sylvia Haughn who returned to play.
