- ➤ A historic Lancaster church at 402 N. Broad St will be renovated for $4 million to become a mixed-use community center with a co-working space, makers kitchen and restaurant plus retail opportunities. The project is backed by a $700,000 JobsOhio Vibrant Community Grant and involves Trivium Development, the city and local partners, although the reopening date is not yet clear. NBC4

- ➤ Four Lancaster-area high school football teams qualified for the playoffs after their season ended on Oct. 25—Fisher Catholic earned a first-round bye while Bloom-Carroll, Fairfield Union and Amanda-Clearcreek were paired with Linden McKinley, Heath and Portsmouth for games set for Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
