- ➤ The Fairfield County Foundation awarded Cycle 2 grants of $194K to 17 local nonprofits for tech upgrades, health programs and community projects at a recent board meeting. - ➤ Residents are advised to remove or compost last year’s plant debris to lower garden pests and may leave some leaf litter to support good insects — local gardeners can choose the method that suits their needs. - ➤ As temperatures drop in central Ohio, experts at AEP Ohio and Atlas Butler Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing advised homeowners to maintain their heating systems to stay warm and lower utility bills. - ➤ Data from Realtor.com shows that Fairfield County's median home listing price rose to $419,950 in September, up 1.8% from last month and 7.7% from September 2024.
