ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Ohio's outdoor burning restrictions go into effect as officials ban open burning from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in October, November, March, April, and May to reduce wildfire risk — the state averages about 800 wildfires that burn thousands of acres every year. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ohio's law will raise the minimum wage for non-tipped workers to $11 and for tipped workers to $5.50 on January 1 — a 2.8% increase from 2025 rates. The change will also raise the business threshold to $405,000 — ensuring that wages adjust with the Consumer Price Index. ABC6
