- ➤ Gas prices in central Ohio rose by 16.3 cents to an average of $3.07 a gallon last week—erasing a previous decline, though prices remain 17 cents lower than four weeks ago. Analysts expect that as fuel demand drops this fall and winter, prices will fall below $3 a gallon. NBC4

- ➤ The FDA has recalled more than 150,000 pounds of frozen shrimp sold at Kroger and other stores due to a risk of cesium-137 contamination that can lead to serious health issues — consumers in Lancaster are urged to check their freezers and return or dispose of the product.
