CRIME NEWS

  • A Fairfield County grand jury indicted John Scott and Holly McDaniel on charges connected to the August 9 shooting death of Gary Franke—a neighbor known for helping others—with Scott admitting to shooting him and McDaniel accused of helping hide the body, and both remain in jail.  ABC6

HEALTH NEWS

  • Registered Nurse Debbie DeLuca-Ely founded Compassionate Caregivers Home Care in 2017 to raise the standard of in-home care by using clinically guided care plans for aging adults with movement disorders or cognitive impairments. Her agency provides personal care and skilled nursing services—ensuring families in Central Ohio get the support they need.  ABC6

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Friday, Berne Union beat Rover Valley 34—14 as sophomore QB Carson Kiger threw four touchdown passes and rushed for 25 yards. Fisher Catholic and Liberty Union also won while Amanda-Clearcreek and FCA lost their openers.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
  • Lancaster high school football rallied from two setbacks to win 21-20 over Hilliard Darby on Friday after blocking an extra point and staging a late drive.
