  • The Fairfield County Fair is celebrating its 175th edition from Oct. 5—11 and a logo contest that began in January received 155 entries—with Bennett Nicewanger of the Courthouse winning and his design now appearing on fair merchandise sold at the Fair office by the white house on the Fairgrounds. Presale tickets for Farm Science Review from Sept. 16—18 are available at the Fairfield County Extension office while Fairfield 2—1—1 and United Way in Lancaster accept new-item donations for the Birthday Bag Drive and the Fairboard office will be closed Sept. 1 for Labor Day.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Go Wild! Nature Fair returns for its third year on Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Coyote Run, 9270 Pickerington Road—presented by Coyote Run and Fairfield County Park District, the fair will offer guided hikes, interactive displays, and presentations that explain clean water, biodiversity, and conservation.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
