- ➤ On Saturday, Lancaster Police were sent for a well-being check at the 700 block of South Maple Street in Fairfield County where they discovered the body of an unknown person in a wooded area—investigators from the Coroner’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are examining the scene—and authorities have asked residents to avoid the area. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ On Aug. 8, Lancaster’s football team hosted Independence at Fulton Field in their first scrimmage to test player readiness and assess their play — head coach Bryan Schoonover said controlled practice helped the team learn where to improve.
