Starting Sept. 30, a new state rule will require everyone aged 18 to 20 to complete a full driver’s education course—24 hours in the classroom, eight hours with an instructor, and 50 hours of driving—for a license; officials say the change is meant to cut serious crashes among young drivers. Local teens will need to follow these new requirements to drive legally.
