- ➤ The Wendel concert stage closed for the rest of the Lancaster Festival after fast-moving water over the weekend caused extensive damage to the stage and equipment—refunds are offered and the festival will hold a community concert Saturday to help raise funds for repairs. ABC6

- ➤ Jimmy Seither, singer with Mary Rose Seitzer, performed with The Nostalgics—an 18-piece jazz orchestra and dance band—at the Zane Square Concert Stage during the Lancaster Festival on July 29th. The event attracted a large crowd in Lancaster. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

- ➤ Ohio's two-week sales tax holiday will begin Aug. 1 at midnight and run until 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 14. The tax break applies to almost all personal property costing $500 or less—including clothing, electronics, home goods and qualifying online orders—while motor vehicles, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and items with marijuana will still be taxed.
