- ➤ In 2024, over 1,300 Hyundai Elantras were stolen in Ohio because some models lacked electronic immobilizers and the state recorded 24,597 vehicle thefts, while authorities advise car owners to secure their vehicles by locking doors, parking in well-lit areas, and hiding valuables—measures that have led to a decline in thefts following improved anti-theft technology.
