GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ohio’s state budget includes a plan that would ask the federal government for a waiver to restrict what SNAP users can buy at grocery stores — a move House Speaker Matt Huffman says could help lower Medicaid costs. Gov. Mike DeWine must decide which parts of the budget become law by July 1. NBC4
- ➤ A federal court ruled on June 20 that Louisiana’s mandate to display the Ten Commandments in public schools was unconstitutional, raising concerns about Ohio’s pending Senate Bill 34 which would require each classroom to display a historical document.
