Good morning, Lancaster.

Anchor Hocking, a Lancaster glass cookware maker with more than 125 years of history, is showcased today in the American-Made 250 Showcase, a national campaign by the Alliance for American Manufacturing celebrating domestic products for the country’s 250th anniversary.

Garden experts advise deep watering so plant roots get strong and avoid overwatering, while free OSU Extension food preservation classes are set for July 7 at Keller Market House and July 9 at Wagnalls Memorial Library (dial gauges available at Farmers Market on June 27).

Lancaster Police remind residents that fireworks that explode or leave the ground are banned under a new city ordinance—novelty items like sparklers remain allowed, but penalties will increase for violations as Independence Day nears.
