- ➤ The Bloom-Carroll Lions awarded three $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from Bloom-Carroll High School based on their community service and academic achievement at The Carroll Cup Coffee House. Alaina Bell, Treyton McKee, and Taylor Scott shared their college plans—with Bell heading to The Ohio State University, McKee to Bowling Green State University, and Scott to Ohio University. - ➤ Franklin Township trustees voted on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. on which fire station to close after voters narrowly rejected a levy in May — the decision cuts the fire department's resources by half and resulted in the layoff of six firefighter/paramedics.
