- ➤ Purdue Pharma reached a $7.4 billion settlement with 55 states and territories — including Ohio which will receive up to $198 million — to resolve thousands of opioid lawsuits, with about $6.5 billion coming from the Sackler family and roughly $900 million from Purdue. Funds will be distributed to individuals, local governments and Native American tribes once the drugmaker secures creditor support for its Chapter 11 plan. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
