- ➤ Mifflin Township is short 40% of its officers after 21‐year‐old Daveonte Dixon, who had a record of violent crimes and was on community control, shot two police officers during a May 28 traffic stop on Mecca Drive and then shot himself when chased in Obetz, leaving one officer still recovering at Grant Medical Center and prompting officials to plan a meeting with judges, law enforcement and prosecutors to discuss justice reform.
