  • Local historian Joyce Harvey examined an empty building on S. Columbus Street and uncovered its history as the Molar Auto Wrecking Service Station—first advertised in 1929 with free auto emblems and later linked to scrap metal collection during wartime—tracing the Molar family’s evolving business until its closure in the 1980s.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
