GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Ohio Department of Taxation announced a back-to-school tax holiday from midnight on Friday, Aug. 7 through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9 that will let shoppers skip sales tax on clothing under $75 + school supplies and instructional materials under $20 while excluding restaurant meals. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Fairfield Medical Center explained that a mini stroke (TIA) is a warning sign that a full stroke may occur and urged callers to dial 911 for symptoms like numbness, slurred speech, or vision loss. Doctors recommended scans and tests to address risks such as high blood pressure and cholesterol. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
