- ➤ Amanda-Clearcreek student Landon Slone earned his D9.1 4G overhead welding certification at Columbus State Community College today & he is the first in his Ag Capstone welding course to pass the challenging test on his first try. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

- ➤ After youth hunters in the south zone checked 1,941 turkeys on April 18-19, state officials scheduled the northeast youth turkey season for April 25-26 and adult hunts in the south and northeast zones beginning April 25 and May 2, respectively (with one bearded turkey allowed per hunter). - ➤ Newark's sophomore pitcher Brody Randall led his team to a 6-5 win over Lancaster on Thursday, Apr. 23 at England Field, securing first place in the OCC-Buckeye Division. His strong outing kept Lancaster from rallying after a rain delay. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
