- ➤ Starting May 7, TSA will enforce REAL IDs at airport checkpoints and Ohio residents must use REAL IDs or TSA-approved alternatives—Ohioans can visit the BMV with documents proving their identity and residency; fees are $24.50 for a four-year card and $48 for an eight-year card, and processed IDs arrive within 10 business days. Acceptable alternatives include passports, trusted traveler cards, and other federal IDs. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
