  • Ohio lawmakers are planning cuts that may lower public library funding by replacing the current percentage of tax revenue with a flat amount; library officials warn the change could force branch closures or service cuts—library advocates will gather for Library Day tomorrow at the Statehouse while Governor Mike DeWine defends his budget plan.   • Ohioans can begin early voting for the May 6 primary today at county board of elections while online registrations require a driver's license number, last four digits of the Social Security number, and address.
