- ➤ Tonya Craft has been named the new regional executive for the American Red Cross Central & Southern Ohio Region after Stephanie Byrd retired last December. Based in Columbus, Craft began the role on March 30 and will visit offices across the region to support community services. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Amazon Prime now offers Ohio members a chance to save 20 cents per gallon on gas every Friday through May 29 at participating BP, Amoco, and ampm stations. Members can link their Prime account to Earnify to redeem the offer, with discounts applying only once per Friday. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

- ➤ Fairfield County held a ribbon-cutting on April 1 at the Coonpath Road Workforce Center, which now features a healthcare training area, modern construction labs & more meeting spaces to boost career readiness and local job skills. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Over three million bottles of eye drops sold nationwide, including at local retailers & pharmacies, have been recalled due to sterility concerns; the eight affected types have expiration dates from April to October, and officials say the risk of serious effects is low unless advised otherwise. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The high school spring sports season is in swing as fans vote for the Eagle-Gazette High School Athlete of the Week (the poll runs from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday).
