CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Fairfield County man named Kyle Varney was indicted on four counts of murder after he allegedly shot and killed his two male relatives in a Lancaster home in February and fired at a fleeing woman who survived while police shot him when he held a shotgun—investigators are reviewing the officers' actions. FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Less than two weeks remain for Lancaster taxpayers to file their federal & state returns by April 15, and experts advise filing soon to avoid delays or penalties. Taxpayers can request a six-month extension until October 15 if needed but must still pay any taxes owed by the deadline. Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
