COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Amanda-Clearcreek High School held a memorial service Thursday, March 19 to honor Fairfield County native Seth Koval, where Ohio Air National Guard Capt. Justin Rainier delivered remarks on his legacy.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
  • VFW members have set up a relief fund to aid families of six servicemembers killed in a KC-135 crash in Iraq, including Capt. Seth Koval (of Fairfield County), with plans to hold a memorial ceremony at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base when remains return to Ohio.  ABC6

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Lancaster Men’s Chorus will present its 54th annual Ham and Eggs production titled Time Machine from May 7-9 at the Crossroads Ministry Center on W. Fair Ave.—featuring music and comedy to benefit local high school musicians and including open rehearsals on Monday nights at First United Methodist Church.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Area high schools are set to perform a season of plays and musicals this spring; Logan High School is playing The Addams Family Musical today at 7:30 p.m., while Berne Union will stage Shrek the Musical from March 27 to 29 and other schools have shows scheduled through April with tickets available online.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
  • Fairfield County Junior Leaders will host the Easter Eggstravaganza for 4-H Cloverbuds and families on Saturday, March 28 at Fairfield County Agriculture Center (831 College Avenue, Lancaster). Crafts start at 1 p.m. with an egg hunt at 2 p.m., and the event honors longtime 4-H advisor Jane Sharp.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
