EDUCATION NEWS

  • Abby Tooill, a second-year veterinary student from Amanda, received a Protect OHIO scholarship from OSU today to support her studies and help address rural veterinary shortages (an initiative to boost animal health in rural areas).  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
  • A free seminar on boating basics and safety is scheduled for March 29 at Celebrations Banquet Hall in Millersport. Space is limited to 60 participants — the focus is on women although all interested are welcome to attend.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Fairfield County residents can prepare for spring by ordering native trees and shrubs at the annual tree sale—cash orders are due March 6 and online orders by March 19 with pickup on April 10 at the Ag Center. Gardeners can also get tool care tips, join free wellness webinars on March 4, 11, 18, and 25, and attend a pesticide recertification class on Feb. 25.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
