  • Officials at the Department of Agriculture expanded the quarantine statewide on Feb. 17 to slow the spread of the invasive spotted lanternfly – growers now must secure inspections and permits before high-risk nursery stock and trees leave Ohio.  ABC6

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • In Lancaster, data from Zumper shows that apartment rents rose by 9% since last January with a current median of $1,200, up 3% from last month's $1,163.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Feb. 17, the Lancaster girls' basketball team played its final game at the old high school — built in 1963 — and won 73–54 over Delaware Hayes. The Lady Gales now prepare to open Central District Division I play in Grove City on Feb. 25.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
