  • Chick-fil-A, Culver's, Bojangles and Dutch Bros are stirring excitement as Lancaster residents vote on the new fast-food restaurant or coffee shop option. The poll opens today to let locals help decide their favorite addition to the community.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

CULTURE NEWS

  • Charles Hildreth, former music director of Nostalgics, announces his retirement from the big band group after years of service.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Ohio University regional campuses are boosting study abroad and experiential learning opportunities with programs like a Paris—London trip scheduled for summer and a visit from Moradokmai Theatre Community and Homeschool in Lancaster this spring. Students can also enroll in THAI 1110 for language and cultural skill building.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
  • Fairfield County Workforce Center is hosting three free training sessions to improve employee communication + career skills. The sessions will occur on Feb. 25, March 25, and April 29 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at 4465 Coonpath Road NW in Carroll, and registration is required.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Rotary Club of Lancaster-Sherman installed an Avive AED at Double Edge Brewery yesterday as part of a collaboration with Community Heart Watch. The business will host staff training this month — joining over 800 heart safe establishments in the county.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • After trailing early against Whitehall on Feb. 16, the Lancaster boys basketball team rallied to win 65-53 and build a three-game winning streak. They will face Newark on Feb. 20 with hopes of continuing their strong play.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
  • The Eagle-Gazette invites fans to vote for the 2025-26 girls basketball Player of the Year as the poll runs from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday—top choices include local players like Josie Burr and Harper Allen.  Lancaster Eagle-Gazette
